SWE-agent

SWE-agent is an open-source autonomous software engineering system that executes real development tasks end-to-end. Built on top of large language models, it connects directly to real-world developer workflows, including GitHub repositories, issue trackers, and continuous integration pipelines. The tool can read and understand existing codebases, triage GitHub issues, propose changes, edit files, run tests, and open pull requests with minimal human intervention.

SWE-agent provides a structured action space for code navigation, code modification, shell command execution, and test running, enabling the model to iteratively plan, implement, and validate changes.
