Particle

Particle is an integrated Internet of Things (IoT) platform designed to help organizations securely connect, manage, and update fleets of physical devices at scale. It provides hardware, connectivity, and cloud services in a single ecosystem, enabling teams to move from prototype to production without stitching together multiple vendors. The primary purpose of Particle is to simplify building and operating connected products such as industrial equipment, vehicles, and consumer devices.

Key capabilities include pre-certified cellular, Wi-Fi, and mesh-enabled hardware modules and development kits, along with global cellular connectivity managed through Particle’s SIM and carrier partnerships. The Particle Device Cloud offers device provisioning, over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates, secure messaging, and real-time event streaming. Developers can use Particle’s SDKs, REST APIs, and integrations to connect devices to existing cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Built-in security features, including encrypted communication and device authentication, help protect data and maintain device integrity.
