Laion

Laion (Large-scale Artificial Intelligence Open Network) is a non-profit organization that develops and releases large-scale machine learning datasets, models, and tools for open research and practical AI applications. Its primary contribution is the creation and curation of massive, openly accessible datasets such as LAION-400M and LAION-5B, which pair images with text captions collected from the web. These datasets enable training and evaluation of state-of-the-art multimodal models for tasks like image-text retrieval, visual understanding, and generative image synthesis.
