Autodesk Fusion

Autodesk Fusion is an integrated 3D CAD, CAM, and CAE platform designed to support the complete product development lifecycle from concept to manufacturing. It combines parametric, direct, freeform, and mesh modeling tools with simulation and manufacturing workflows in a single environment. The primary purpose of Autodesk Fusion is to help engineers, designers, and manufacturers design, validate, and produce parts and assemblies efficiently while maintaining a consistent, cloud-connected data model.

Key features include robust solid and surface modeling, assembly design, and detailed drawing creation, along with generative design tools that explore multiple geometry options based on performance and manufacturing constraints. The platform includes integrated CAM for 2.5-axis to 5-axis milling, turning, and cutting operations, as well as additive manufacturing preparation and nesting. It also supports electronics design with schematic capture, PCB layout, and mechanical-electrical integration, enabling coordinated enclosure and board design. Built-in simulation tools allow users to run stress, modal, thermal, and event simulations to validate designs before production.
