It supports over 70 languages, with the ability to switch languages as needed, and uses AI-powered recognition to maintain accuracy across different accents and contexts. On-device Apple Speech recognition delivers near-instant transcription for supported languages, while a secure cloud fallback handles the rest. All cloud-based processing is encrypted and not stored, and on-device processing ensures that audio never leaves your Mac.
