Manus Desktop

Manus Desktop is a local companion application that connects the Manus AI agent directly to your computer. Its primary purpose is to extend Manus beyond the browser so it can work with your actual files, folders, and tools, enabling end-to-end automation of tasks that involve your desktop environment. By bridging cloud intelligence with on-device access, Manus Desktop allows you to offload complex, repetitive, or multi-step workflows that span both online and local resources.

Through the “My Computer” integration, Manus Desktop can browse and manage local files and directories, open and edit documents, and organize project assets. It can execute shell commands and scripts, interact with development environments, and trigger or orchestrate other installed applications as part of a workflow. The tool supports reading and writing across common file types, enabling tasks such as log analysis, batch file processing, codebase inspection, and report generation.
