GenType by Google is an experimental AI-powered type design tool that generates complete font families from simple text prompts. Built on generative models trained on a wide variety of typefaces, it allows users to specify stylistic directions—such as geometric, humanist, playful, or editorial—and receive fully rendered, vector-based fonts that can be inspected, refined, and exported. The tool focuses on both visual style and typographic structure, producing consistent letterforms, weights, and spacing across a full character set.
