Defold

Defold is a free, open game engine designed for creating 2D games for desktop, mobile, web, and console platforms. It provides a lightweight, component-based architecture where game objects are assembled from reusable components such as sprites, scripts, collision shapes, and particle effects. Developers work with a visual editor for scene composition, animation, and tilemap creation, combined with Lua scripting for game logic.

Defold includes a built-in physics engine, sprite and spine animation support, GUI system, and an integrated debugger and profiler for performance analysis.
